The makers of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 kicked off the show with the tagline “This time, it’s not chess, it’s war!” However, as the episodes unfold, the audience feels it’s less of a battlefield and more like a joint family drama. Contestants are forming emotional bonds rather than strategic alliances making the show feel like a daily soap rather than a reality competition.
Tanuja calls Bharani her father, while Bharani and Divya share a brother-sister bond. Earlier, Sanjana used to call Bharani brother, and Suman Shetty also shares a similar bond with him. Immu fondly calls Sanjjana mom, and Kalyan used to call ex-housemate Priya sister.
Meanwhile, Rithu and Demon seem to share a budding romantic track, while Tanuja and Kalyan’s bond too is developing along similar lines. With so many emotional connections, the Bigg Boss house feels more like a family serial aired on Star Maa than a reality game show leaving the audience wondering what’s next in this emotional rollercoaster.
However, the latest episode brought cracks to this so-called “joint family” as the Safety and Danger Zone tasks concluded, revealing who’s safe and who remains at risk.
Bharani and Tanuja’s Emotional Conversation
The episode opened with Bharani taking Tanuja aside for a heartfelt conversation. He told her, “Sometimes, situations make it seem like those who care for us suddenly stop, but that’s not true. Things happen unexpectedly.”
Bharani explained that Divya had asked if they could be teammates but left the final decision to him. He agreed but clarified that his focus was still on Tanuja. “For the past few weeks, I noticed Kalyan showing care for you too. When you said someone was targeting you, I felt bad but didn’t show it. I can handle my emotions.”
He confessed his feelings honestly “Tanuja, I really like you a lot. Even if you don’t believe it, that’s the truth. If anyone talks to you, just tell them that your dad (referring to Bharani himself) likes you a lot.”
Tanuja calmly replied that she wasn’t upset, and their emotional exchange hinted at a strong bond evolving between them.
Kalyan’s “Pants Incident” Sparks Chaos
Bigg Boss introduced a new fun task titled “Na Chore Na Chore” meant purely for entertainment. Contestants had to dance to the music and rush out through color-coded holes when it stopped. Whoever came out first the most number of times would win.
During one round, Bharani accidentally grabbed Kalyan’s pants while trying to stop him leading to a hilarious yet awkward moment. Tanuja screamed, “My dad’s pants! Leave him alone!” as everyone burst into laughter.
Kalyan, though, wasn’t amused. “Why would anyone pull pants just for a point? Have some humanity!” he fumed. Despite the chaos, Kalyan won the round, followed by Divya, Demon, and Suman Shetty in subsequent rounds. Sanjana’s team, unfortunately, scored no points.
Sanjana and Flora Eliminated
After the task ended, the leaderboard placed Bharani–Divya at the top. Bigg Boss rewarded them with special powers — to eliminate one of the bottom two teams regardless of their scores.
The bottom pairs were Sanjjana–Flora and Srija–Suman. While points suggested eliminating Srija–Suman, Bharani decided to eliminate Sanjjana–Flora instead, citing performance and strategic reasons.
This decision deeply upset Sanjana, who broke down in tears. “This is unfair! I worked so hard, yet there’s no recognition or support. Karma will turn things around,” she said emotionally.
Rithu and Tanuja’s Clash
Later, tensions rose between Rithu and Tanuja. Tanuja accused Rithu of joining hands with Bharani and Divya’s team during the Na Chore Na Chore task. Rithu admitted it, which left Tanuja feeling hurt and betrayed.
Sanjana’s Breakdown and Emotional Outburst
Feeling isolated, Sanjana sat alone crying, expressing frustration over the increasing physical nature of the tasks. “After Divya entered, Bharani completely changed. These physical tasks are tough how can girls jump over boys? I can’t do this anymore,” she cried. Immu consoled her, but she continued venting about Bharani’s changing attitude toward her and Tanuja.
Pyramid Task: Kalyan and Tanuja’s Victory
Next came the “Build the Pyramid, Win the Points” task, where pairs had to construct a six-layer glass pyramid on a moving platform using ropes. It required balance, coordination, and timing.
Kalyan and Tanuja emerged victorious, followed by Bharani–Divya in second place and Suman–Sreeja in third. Rithu’s attempt to rush through cost her and Demon their lead as the glasses toppled. Emotional after the loss, Rithu cried, but Demon later comforted her. Meanwhile, Tanuja joyfully hugged Kalyan after their win, marking a sweet emotional moment between them.
Bharani–Divya Declared Safe
Bigg Boss announced the end of the Safety vs Danger Zone challenges. Based on accumulated points, Bharani and Divya topped the chart, earning immunity and moving to the safe zone.
The second position went to Kalyan and Tanuja, but Bigg Boss threw in a twist only one of them could enter the safe zone. After discussing it, Tanuja selflessly gave up her spot for Kalyan, allowing him to be safe. Thus, Bharani, Divya, Kalyan, Captain Ramu, and Immu (who already had immunity) are now in the safe zone, while the rest remain in danger.
This episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 9 had everything laughter, tears, strategy, and unexpected twists. What started as a war of minds has now turned into a battle of emotions, friendships, and personal connections. As alliances shift and bonds deepen, viewers are eagerly waiting to see who stays strong and who breaks down next inside the ever-dramatic Bigg Boss house.
