Host Srimukhi kicked off Episode 12 of Bigg Boss Season 2: Agnipariksha by welcoming the jury before dropping a key update regarding Deepak’s firecard. She revealed that his card possessed the power to “skip the round”. Srimukhi then announced that the day’s focus was testing the contestants’ mental strength, which required three team leaders.
In a surprising twist, only members of the previous day’s winning squad, Jhansi’s team, were eligible for leadership. Srimukhi asked the winning team to vote on who among them least deserved to lead. Gayatri and Ramakrishna received the highest votes and were eliminated from the running.
Abhijit then explained the leadership selection task. Each contender had to grab a duffle bag containing a colourful costume, change behind a screen, burst through the barrier, strike a pose, and select a number. The judges evaluated overall presentation, ultimately naming Jhansi as the first leader, followed by Hemanth and Priyanka. After Jhansi selected her core team, the remaining unchosen contestants were allowed to join Hemanth or Priyanka’s teams by choice.
Mental Strength Challenge Breakdown
- Task 1: Unmatch Answers — The jury posed questions to three participants per round. Points were awarded only for unique answers; matching responses were disqualified. Priyanka and Jhansi’s teams tied for the top spot with 30 points each, while Hemanth’s team trailed with 20 points.
- Task 2: Cricket Memory Test — A group of local cricketers introduced themselves before Srimukhi called up three representatives per team to test their recall of player names, jersey numbers, and playing styles. Deepak strategically activated his “skip the round” firecard to automatically secure 30 points for Jhansi’s team, though Rohith ultimately won the physical memory round.
- Task 3: Memory Drawing — Players filled out grid boards numbered 1 to 20 by sketching items named by Srimukhi. Jhansi executed the best drawing performance to claim the win.
- Task 4: Cover the Red Circle — Navdeep explained a precision task where players had three attempts to drop a white card onto a red target to cover it completely. The challenge proved too difficult, leaving every player empty-handed with zero points.
- Task 5: Weighing the Ball — Given eight balls and a balance scale, players had to identify one slightly heavier ball using only two weigh-ins. Success was universal, as all participants correctly identified the heavier ball to earn points.
By the end of the mental strength trials, Jhansi’s team emerged as the overall victor. The episode wrapped up with rewards and penalties: Jhansi earned a voting appeal, Rohith secured a star alongside a voting appeal, and Srishti received a yellow card warning. The day concluded with a Dazzler brand promotional segment.
