Out of lakhs of applicants, 45 were shortlisted, then filtered to 15, and finally, the top 13 commoners earned their ticket into the house.
First Celebrity Contestant: Thanuja Gowda
Actress Thanuja Puttaswamy, popularly known as Thanuja Gowda, became the first contestant of the season. She performed a lively dance on “Jaragandi Jaragandi” before joining the show.
When challenged by Nagarjuna to describe herself in nine words, she said: “Family girl, overthinker, sensitive, moody, crazy, beautiful, good cook, innocent, and determined.”
Best known for her role in Mudda Mandaram and her stint on Cooku with Jathiratnalu, Thanuja revealed that her father was unaware of her participation, leaving Nagarjuna to reassure him on stage.
Flora Saini Joins as Second Contestant
The glamorous Flora Saini (also known as Aasha Saini) entered next with a high-energy performance to “Vibundhi Baby.” She recalled her film journey with hits like Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav and Narasimha Naidu while candidly speaking about personal struggles.
Coming from a military family, Flora highlighted the values she grew up with and expressed determination to start afresh through Bigg Boss.
First Commoner: Kalyan Padala
Kalyan Padala, one of the strongest Agnipariksha performers, was introduced as the first commoner. When asked who he wanted to see next, he chose Priya, showing both emotional and strategic intent.
